zHello, my name is Kya Sablatura, and I am originally from Victoria Texas but currently reside in Milwaukee Wisconsin. I am a senior illustration major and New Studio Practice minor. I attend Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, and I am expecting to graduate in May 2024. 

I love to create children’s illustrations, surface designs, and soft sculptures. I am very versatile when it comes to media such as digital, watercolor, oil, and textiles. I am inspired by vibrant, fun, and inviting works of art that incorporate a lot of textures and have a whimsical charm to them. Some of my hobbies are creating soft sculptures like quilts or objects through sewing and crocheting.
